Door-to-door, open or enclosed

Anyone can check those two numbers before they book, with us or with anyone else. How we check the carriers.

Auto transport near you doesn't have to mean limited options. Yorka Auto Transport operates nationwide, connecting customers with licensed carriers for open or enclosed shipping, door-to-door delivery, and flexible scheduling. Request a free quote in under two minutes.

What happens after you book

Three stages, and you know which one you are in at every point.

  1. Step 1

    Quote and book

Give us the two addresses and the vehicle. You get a real figure rather than a range that moves once somebody calls you back, and nothing is charged while you decide.

  2. Step 2

    We collect the vehicle

We assign a carrier already running your lane, check their authority and insurance are current, and you get the driver’s direct number before pickup. Payment starts here, not before.

  3. Step 3

    You take delivery

The driver meets you as close to your address as the truck can legally get. You inspect the vehicle against the condition report signed at pickup, and sign for it.

Watch first

How to book, start to finish

The whole booking, on screen, in the order you will do it — what the form asks, what we send back, and what happens between accepting a quote and a truck arriving at your address.

  • 1.Two cities, the vehicle, and the earliest date it can go.
  • 2.We come back with a price and, when you accept it, a named carrier — you pay nothing until then.
  • 3.Pickup at your address, an inspection you both sign, and delivery to the door.

Our commitment to you

The Yorka Promise

Three things we commit to in writing on every shipment, whether it is one car across the state or a fleet across the country.

Nothing to pay until a carrier is assigned

You give us no money when you book. Payment comes due only once we have a specific carrier, with a name, a truck and a pickup window, assigned to your vehicle.

The quote you accept is the price you pay

No fuel surcharge appearing later, no fee for a residential street, no adjustment once the truck is loaded. If something about the vehicle or the route turns out to be different from what you told us, we come back to you before anything moves.

No carrier touches your vehicle unchecked

We confirm FMCSA operating authority is active and cargo insurance is in force on the day of pickup, every time, for every carrier. Ask for the certificate before you commit and we will send it.

The third one is the part most people never check. Here is exactly how we check it.

Pricing Guide

How Much Does
Car Transport Cost?

Get transparent pricing information for your vehicle shipping needs

Car shipping quotes are based on current market trends for nationwide auto transport. Your total cost from auto shipping companies will depend on the type of car you want to move, where it needs to go, its size, condition (or if it has any modifications), total transport distance, transport type (open or enclosed trailer shipment), and finally, the time of year when you book.

Factors Affecting Your Quote

Key elements that influence your shipping costs

Vehicle size & weight

Larger and heavier vehicles often require special handling and space, which can increase the transport cost.

Vehicle operability

If your car can't roll, steer, or brake, it needs additional equipment to load and unload — resulting in higher service fees.

Trailer type

Open transport is more affordable and widely used. Enclosed transport offers protection for luxury or classic cars at a higher rate.

Pickup & delivery location

Shipping to or from remote areas may cost more than popular metro routes due to accessibility and route demand.

Time of year

Auto transport rates can fluctuate based on seasonal demand. Prices are typically higher in summer and snowbird seasons.

Fuel prices

Rising fuel costs affect long-distance shipments. Our pricing adjusts based on real-time market conditions.

What it costs

Open transport, by distance

These are not estimates. Each band is the actual spread of prices we publish across 295 routes on this site, grouped by distance — so you can see where your move is likely to land before you give anyone your phone number.

DistanceTypical rangeMedianRoutes priced
Short haulUnder 500 miles$300 – $750$50076
Regional500 – 1,000 miles$400 – $1,100$80071
Long haul1,000 – 2,000 miles$550 – $1,650$1,20099
Coast to coastOver 2,000 miles$950 – $1,950$1,65049

Open transport. Enclosed costs more, and how much more depends on the vehicle, so we quote it rather than guess at a multiplier here. A non-running vehicle, a hard-to-reach pickup, or a date that cannot move will also change the number — which is why the quote we give you is the one you pay, not a starting point. What moves the price.

Find your route

295 routes with a published price, distance and transit time. No form, no email — the same number that is on each route's own page.

Start typing a city and matching routes appear here.

Prices are open transport, from. Enclosed, a non-running vehicle or a date that cannot move will change the figure — and we tell you before anything is booked, not after.

Discounts

Ways to pay less for the same shipment

Tell us which of these applies when you ask for your quote and it comes off the price before you see it — not as a credit afterwards. One discount per shipment.

Discounts apply to the transport price and cannot be combined. Ask us before you book — we will not apply one retroactively, so it is worth a sentence in your first message.

What it costs on real routes

Starting prices for open transport on some of the longest lanes we run. Your own figure moves with the vehicle, the dates and how far the pickup sits from the carrier's route, so treat these as the floor rather than the quote.
